Naya CRM vs HubSpot for a South African sales team
HubSpot Sales Hub is a strong product with dollar pricing and onboarding fees. Here is a fair comparison for a team that sells in rand.

HubSpot is the CRM most South African sales teams have tried, and many like it. Before making the case for Naya CRM, here is what HubSpot does well.
Where HubSpot is strong
HubSpot's free tools are generous and the Starter tier is cheap. The marketing, sales and service hubs share one contact record, so website forms, email marketing and a sales pipeline live in one place. The app marketplace is large, the documentation is thorough, and plenty of South African consultants know it. If your main need is inbound marketing with a light pipeline attached, HubSpot is a sensible choice.
What HubSpot costs
These are the figures HubSpot publishes in its own Sales Hub pricing article on blog.hubspot.com, updated 9 September 2026 and checked on 12 October 2026. Prices are per seat per month in US dollars.
- Sales Hub Starter: $9 per seat billed annually, $15 billed monthly.
- Sales Hub Professional: $90 per seat billed annually, $100 billed monthly, plus a one-time onboarding fee of $1,500.
- Sales Hub Enterprise: $150 per seat billed annually, plus a one-time onboarding fee of $3,500.
HubSpot says email sequences are not in Starter, so Professional is the real entry point for outbound teams. Confirm on hubspot.com before you sign.
What Naya CRM costs
Naya CRM has a South African rand price list, billed through Paystack. It is a local price list, not an exchange-rate conversion.
- Free: R0, two seats, 500 AI credits a month.
- Starter: R349 per user per month, 8,000 AI credits.
- Pro: R699 per user per month, 25,000 AI credits plus overage. This is the tier with email, SMS and WhatsApp outreach, buying-committee enrichment and Naya's action suggestions and approvals.
- Team: R1,249 per user per month, 75,000 AI credits, four-tier role-based access, manager reporting and webhooks.
- Enterprise: custom, with SSO, data residency and custom integrations.
Yearly billing is ten months for twelve. There are no AI add-on fees, no seat minimums, no onboarding fee on the published plans, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. For teams outside South Africa, the same tiers are $19, $39 and $69.
The comparison for a ten-seat team
Take ten reps on HubSpot Sales Hub Professional billed annually. That is $900 a month in seats, plus $1,500 onboarding in year one. At an illustrative R17 to the dollar, that is about R15,300 a month and R25,500 for onboarding. Check the rate on the day you buy.
Ten reps on Naya CRM Pro cost R6,990 a month, with no onboarding fee. Usage is on top: SMS at R0.45 per message part, WhatsApp at R1.20 per marketing message and R0.20 per other message, and voice calls at R3.50 per minute, billed on a monthly usage invoice in rand. A rep who sends 200 SMS parts, sends 100 WhatsApp marketing messages and 300 replies and uses 100 minutes of voice in a month adds R620. Ten reps at that volume add R6,200, and you only pay it if you use it.
Where the products differ
Price is the smaller difference. The bigger one is what the CRM does when nobody is using it. HubSpot records what your reps do. Naya CRM does a share of it. Every new lead is researched: company registry, website, maps listing and people search, with a source trail. Naya, working with several partner data providers, finds the buying committee. Naya then drafts the first email in your brand's voice, and a person approves it before anything leaves. Follow-ups go out on a sequence across email and WhatsApp and stop the moment the prospect replies.
WhatsApp sits in the pipeline, not in a separate inbox. Email, SMS and WhatsApp replies land in one thread per lead, and a sequence can run Day 1 email, Day 2 WhatsApp, Day 4 email through Day 8 inside working hours.
Booking is built in. A "book a call" button lands on your branded booking page with real calendar slots. Picking one creates the Zoom meeting, the invite and the confirmation, and the transcript and summary are on the lead afterwards.
Closing is on the board. Drag a card to Verbal Agreement and Naya drafts the agreement from your template, sends the signature request and attaches a Paystack payment link. When it clears, the card moves to Closed Won.
And it is built for this market: rand pricing, Paystack and WhatsApp built in, and a South African studio that runs its own pipeline on it every day.
Moving across
Migration is part of the product, not a project. Bring your HubSpot export across as CSV or XLSX with smart column mapping, run a dry run first, read the row-by-row validation report, then import. If it is not right, roll the whole thing back with one click.
Who should stay on HubSpot
Teams whose main engine is inbound marketing, or who have deep custom work already built on HubSpot's platform. Switching has a cost, and a working system is worth something. For an outbound team of ten or more that sells in rand, pays dollar seat prices plus onboarding, and still has reps doing their own research and drafting, the comparison is worth thirty minutes.
